Building Progress Update – 2nd May 2017
Well, this incredible dream that has been three years or more in the making is finally starting to become a very concrete reality. If you’ve visited the Parklands Bowling Club recently you’ll have noticed the impressive foundation structure that has been laid in readiness for the Modern Learning Studio. If you haven’t seen it, it’s definitely worth a drive-by – the enormous concrete footprint really gives you a sense of the scale of Stage 1 of the Pūkeko Centre development.
Preparations are now in their final stages for the relocation of two buildings from the former Freeville School site. Both buildings have been braced for the journey and raised off the ground, ready for lift-off. Any potentially problematic trees along the planned route have been trimmed back, to ensure the late-night move goes without a hitch.
